The 2015-2016 volleyball team had a successful season. Angel Bailey and Ahshantie Miller, two 8th grade players as well as the coach, Mrs. McDaniel, expressed their true feelings about their season.
Angel said, “It was fun being on the volleyball team and I made a lot of new friends.” She also said that when they lost a game and people talked bad about them, she just ignored them because they were just having fun.
Ahshantie said, “I feel like I had accomplished my goal by being a volleyball player.” She handled the people that talked bad about the team by not listening to them.
Mrs. McDaniel said, ”Coaching gives me a feeling of accomplishment. It feels amazing teaching young women a skill. It is very tough to see the looks on their faces or someone being hard on themselves. As I have always said, it honestly doesn’t matter if you win or lose. What matters is that you enjoy playing.”
Both players and coaches agree winning is fun, but they also think it is important to learn what their faults are and improving them.
Great job for an awesome season lady eagles!
