Uniform Policy Changes

There were some changes in the uniform policy this school year.
According to Mrs.Guess the color gray has dropped because there were too many colors. She said,”I saw that the other schools only had 2 to 3 shirts to choose from.”
Other changes were the zippers and hoodies, but the rules were already created when Mrs.Guess came to the school.
In addition, the main reason why students wear uniforms is that the District made that policy.
Mrs.Guess wanted some feedback, and she gave the EMS parents a survey last school year concerning the uniforms and they thought it was easier. They also thought that it was cheaper to maintain.
Another statement, according to Mrs.Garcia the benefits for the uniforms are properly dressed and/or “career ready” first impression.
The difference between this year and last year is that they’re more strict and are enforcing proper uniform attire.
There were some students that violated the policy. Also, students who continue to violate the dress code policy after their fourth violation will be handled on an individual basis.
Student Jeremy Bilberry stated that he felt good but also confused about the changes. This has affected him by making him spend more money.
Kaleb Bilberry additionally commented that this makes him feel confused. This too, has affected him, and he commented that he is unhappy that he has to wear a uniform all day and not regular clothes.
