Lion King Musical

The Lion King Jr. musical was a hit. The musical was on November 19th and November 20th.The matinee was on November 18th.
Jasmine Dupree, one of the cast members, said that Mr.Jones, Ms.Edmonds, and Ms.Pharr where in charge of the production. "The best part about this production is meeting new people". Jasmine said that she had to go to rehearsal almost everyday."I wanted to be apart of this production because it was a fun experience from last year". The cast and crew of this musical put in a lot of hard work and time for this production to happen.Not only did the cast and crew put in hard work,the adults that helped out in the production worked just as hard as the cast and crew. Ms.Edmonds is a 7th grade reading and writing teacher was one out of the three main adults that helped out with the musical.She said that the "Circle of Life" was her favorite part in this musical."I wanted to be apart of the musical because it is fun and a great experience for all of the students" stated Ms.Edmonds. Last year, She helped out with the" Guys and Dolls" production .The year before that she helped out with "Joseph and the Amazing Techicolor Dream Coat". She says that she hasn't been in musicals before but she has been in plays before. She also stated that it was a lot of hard work but the students had a good time.
Mr. Jones is the choir teacher here at Eisenhower. He helped teach the music to the cast in the musical. He said, "I have been in musicals in middle school, high school, and college. He also said, "Putting on a musical is a huge undertaking and it's always very rewarding to see how much the students involved grow and mature in the process". That was why he wanted to help out in the musical.His favorite part was the finale when all of the costumes, props, and sets were done so they could see how the show would finally come together. Mr.Jones said that, "This is a very hard show to do and the students did a good job with it."
The Lion King Jr. musical was a very successful production.The cast, crew,and adults worked very hard to make this musical a success.The hard work has paid off for them.
