Anime Club

The Anime club was started by Mr. Parga. We meet every Thursday after school in the library from 3:00 - 4:45. Right now we are watching “My Hero Academia”. While we're at anime club people can watch the episode we are on, play Pokemon cards, Yugioh cards, etc. Sometimes Mr. Parga will bring some snacks such as Pocky and other types of food. However sometimes we will be playing games that have to do with anime such as Kahoot for a chance to win a Spicy Mango Pop or any other type of snacks.
Many students at Eisenhower are interested in Anime. Mr. Parga stated,“ I started Anime club to give some kids a place to talk about what they are interested in.” Mr. Parga added, “It is also a chance for kids to see what they have in common with each other.”
The students have definitely enjoyed being in the club. Mr. Parga stated that, “It can impact the kids with some of the life lessons the episode teaches them.” Mr. Parga said, “They might also see something they like and go for it.”
Anime club is expected to be around for a long time. Mr. Parga stated, “Anime club will definitely be around for as long as I am here.”
The students get to experience different cultures. Hezekiah Boyington stated that, “I joined Anime club because anime is cool and has a lot of action in it.” He said that, “I like to spend time with my friends.” He added, “I like to eat Japanese food.”
